The RI Herb Festival was founded by Farmacy Herbs in 2013 and is now a collaboration with Providence Cultural Equity Initiative team members, Raymond 2 Hawks Watson, Don King & Johnathon Lewis and Howls Tinctures founder Peter Glantz to uplift activists, diversified voices, plant and land connections, & heal trauma through centering community support, natural healing and music.

Team meeting: L to R, Mary Blue of Farmacy, Peter Glantz of Howls, Don King, Raymond 2 Hawks Watson and Johnathon Lewis of Providence Cultural Equity Initiative.

The 2021 herb festival is a fundraiser for the Urban Perinatal Education Center organized by Qua Tia. The center is a  space focused on eliminating disparities and determinants of infant and maternal health for BIPOC parents.
